Dr. Chelsea Hoersten, DVM
Dr. Hoersten grew up in Brunswick, New York, and her veterinary journey eventually brought her to Ohio. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of New England in Biddeford, Maine, before attending St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada, West Indies. Dr. Hoersten completed her clinical rotations at The Ohio State University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree in 2019.
During her training, Dr. Hoersten focused on small animal emergency medicine and general practice. Following graduation, she pursued a year-long specialty internship in Farm Animal Medicine and Surgery at The Ohio State University, further broadening her clinical experience and skill set.
Dr. Hoersten has a strong passion for animal behavior, nutrition, internal medicine, dentistry, and surgery. She believes every pet and client should be treated like family and strives to provide compassionate, individualized care at every visit.
Outside of the clinic, Dr. Hoersten enjoys spending time outdoors hiking in Cuyahoga Valley National Park with her husband, TJ, and their son, Bentley. She’s also an avid sports fan and can often be found cheering on the Lake Erie Monsters—though her NHL loyalty remains with the New York Rangers. At home, their family is rounded out by two beloved cats, Gretzky Wayne and Callie.
